Recommended Fuels:
Wood logs: Burn only seasoned timber with moisture content below 20%. Allow cut wood to dry for 12–18 months. Maximum log size: 200 mm long × 100 mm diameter.
Do not burn construction timber, painted, impregnated or treated wood, manufactured board products, or pallet wood.
Solid fuel: Use only anthracite or manufactured briquette smokeless fuels approved for closed heating appliances.
Air Controls:
Primary air: Lever below the door. Open when lighting the stove to provide maximum combustion air.
Secondary air / Airwash: Lever below the door. Creates an air film over the glass to help keep it clean.
Tertiary air: Lever below the door. Supports the Cleanburn system by injecting heated air into the upper fire chamber to burn remaining gases.
Safety:
Do not over-fire the appliance. Over-firing can damage the paint finish and is not covered by warranty. Do not use flammable liquids, excessive fuel, or operate at maximum output for prolonged periods.
If the chimney connector or casing glows red, the appliance is being over-fired, and there is a risk of chimney fire.
If a chimney fire occurs: call the Fire Service on 999 or 112, close all air inlets, move combustible items away, ensure loft access is available, and evacuate the property. Do not use the stove again until the stove, chimney and connector have been inspected and any damage repaired by a HETAS-registered engineer.
